If you don't love sweets more than any other desserts, do you still try to acclaim yourself a "BONG"?
Certainly my dear friend, you don't even belong to our community.
"Bongtummy" recently hopped in to the age-old sweet shop in Bhawanipore area.
Dakshina kali Mistanna bhandar is the vintage shop of that region and serving the fresh sweets since 75 years.
The vintage shop and their all staff members are very warm hearted and you smell that nostalgia in the corner to corner.
Their youngest holder of the shop told us about the shop, the sweets and the staffs and the nostalgia of course.
1. Ice cream sandesh.
The sweet is made up of cottage cheese or chana and it's certainly highly demanding sweet of this vintage shop.
We recommend this.
2. Mishti Doi (sweetened curd)
The sweetness is lent from lightly caramelised sugar and traditionally the curd is set in earthen pots.
This is heavenly, trust me.
3. Rasogolla (both nolen gur and normal)
4. Kachagolla.
5. Other sweets.
And here these are some other sweets including Kalakand, Golap sandesh, Danadar etc. These are also highly demanding sweets of this shop.
Last but not the least,
6. Singara (samosa)
The demand rate of this snack is very hign in this shop. The whole singara things finished within an hour in the afternoon.
The singaras are perfectly crunchy and mouthwatering for the singaralovers.
Well! This was a finest sweet hogging for Bongtummy.
Thanks to the "Dakshina Kali Mistanna Bhandar" for such heartiest hospitality.

More than the rosogolla and sweets which are to die for... They make this amazing potatoe filled SAMOSAS 😋 ... Everybody just waits for the clock to strike 4 in the evening and rush to grab that piece of delicacy to munch on with a hot ☕cup of tea. The filling is very light n simple.
A typical bengali mishti shop catering to the sweet tooth of the people in the locality. But people also come from far to have their ice cream sandesh which is excellent. They keep the usual assortment of Mishtis like sandesh, Rossogolla and Mishti doi. All are reasonable in price and good.
